Author Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished work that aligns with the journal’s scope. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and follow the UTE Journal format.
Submission Requirements:
- Title page (with full author details)
- Abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords
- Manuscript (up to 7,000 words, including references)
- References in APA 7th edition format
Formatting:
- Use Times New Roman 12pt font, 1.5 line spacing
- Headings should be clearly marked and numbered
- Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and referenced
Submission Process:
Authors must submit their manuscript via the UTE Journal portal or email (jete@ute.ac).
Publication Fee:
There is no article processing charge.
Open Access Policy
The UTE Journal is committed to open access. All articles are freely accessible online without subscription or paywall barriers.
This ensures maximum visibility, accessibility, and impact of research. Authors retain the copyright of their work under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.
Plagiarism Policy
The UTE Journal maintains a strict policy against plagiarism. All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before review.
Key Policies:
- Direct copying, mosaic plagiarism, and self-plagiarism are strictly prohibited
- Authors must properly cite all sources and paraphrased content
- Manuscripts with more than 15% similarity will be rejected or returned for correction
Violations will result in immediate rejection and may be reported to the author’s affiliated institution.

Types of Publications
The UTE Journal welcomes a wide range of scholarly and practice-oriented contributions. We aim to provide a platform for diverse voices, including students, academics, professionals, and community stakeholders. The following types of submissions are accepted:
- Research Articles
Full-length, original research papers that contribute new knowledge or theoretical insight in the fields of technology, entrepreneurship, business, education, or related disciplines.
- Word limit: up to 7,000 words
- Peer-reviewed
- Review Articles
Comprehensive reviews of recent developments in a specific research area, identifying trends, gaps, and future directions.
- Word limit: 5,000–7,000 words
- Peer-reviewed
- Conceptual Papers
Theoretical or opinion-based essays that propose new frameworks, models, or perspectives. Especially welcomed from thought leaders and innovators.
- Word limit: up to 5,000 words
- Peer-reviewed
- Practice and Policy Briefs
Short articles focusing on applied experiences, case studies, or practical interventions in entrepreneurship, technology, education, or development sectors.
- Word limit: 2,000–3,500 words
- Peer-reviewed or editorially reviewed
- Commentaries & Opinion Pieces
Insightful, concise reflections on emerging issues, ethical dilemmas, or debates relevant to the journal's scope.
- Word limit: 1,000–2,000 words
- Editorially reviewed
- Book Reviews
Critical reviews of recent academic or professional books relevant to the journal's focus. Both regional and global publications are welcome.
- Word limit: 800–1,500 words
- Editorially reviewed
- Student Research Abstracts
Summaries of high-quality student research projects, capstones, or theses, showcasing emerging talent at UTE and partner institutions.
- Word limit: 300–500 words (abstract only, optional poster image)
- Editorially reviewed
- Interviews and Profiles
Curated conversations with entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, or thought leaders, highlighting ideas that inspire and transform.
- Word limit: 1,500–3,000 words
- Editorially reviewed
3. Peer Review Process
Each submission is initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board for relevance and compliance with submission standards. If deemed suitable, the manuscript will be sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.

Note: A revision request is not a guarantee of publication. Final decisions rest with the Editorial Board.
4. Originality and Ethics
JETE considers only original manuscripts that:

Are not under consideration elsewhere

Are free of plagiarism and redundant publication
Authors must adhere to international ethical standards in research and reporting. Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) will lead to immediate rejection.

6. Referencing Style
Use APA (7th edition) referencing style for both in-text citations and the reference list.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)
JETE does not charge any fee for submission or publication. It is a diamond open-access journal with no hidden charges for authors or readers.
8. Notification of Acceptance
Once the manuscript is accepted, the corresponding author will be notified via email. Authors will be guided through the proofing and final publication process.
